Champions League has got their final four teams. Today, we are going to rank our four semi-finalists as they prepare themselves for this ultimate test.
Lyon – Ligue 1
Lyon produced a shock in the quarterfinals as they dumped out Manchester City, who was one of the favorites to reach the finals of the competition. They were clinical, aggressive while pressing, and motivated to write a golden page into their history books. Sadly, we can’t see them going ahead now.
The Ligue 1 team faces Bayern Munich in the semi-finals. If it was PSG or RB Leipzig, we still have given some odds to progress through the finals. But, seeing what Bayern did to Barcelona the other day, we see only one winner in this encounter. Football is unpredictable, though! Is there another big twist in Champions League destiny? Can Lyon do the unthinkable?
RB Leipzig – Bundesliga
After the exit of their star player Timo Werner, many pundits assumed that RB Leipzig is destined to exit. After two weeks of European football, this German teams stand at the semi-finals of Champions League. Would Timo Werner regret the timing of his move? If his former side makes it to the finals, he surely will. RB Leipzig has an inspiring manager in the form of Julian Nagelsmann. He is a modern thinker of the game, and that can be seen from the way his team performs. They face Ligue 1 champions, PSG in the semi-finals.
Leipzig will definitely start as the underdogs, but what we have seen from the past few years, these underdogs somehow manage to do unthinkable! As they are not the favorites in the tie against PSG, RB Leipzig is third out of four teams when we rank on the odds of winning the Champions League.
Paris-Saint Germain – Ligue 1
We are forecasting a PSG vs Bayern final and that means a cracking showdown! PSG for the first time in many years has made it so far. With Mbappe, Neymar, Di Maria, and Icardi, fans will be expecting nothing but the trophy. If Lyon manages to beat Bayern, which would be very tough, PSG would be going as the favorites in the finals. But if the round goes the way we predicted and Bayern goes into final, PSG will be considered as the underweights.
Still, it’s their best chance to taste the Champions League glory. Not every year you witness Barcelona, Real Madrid, Juventus, Liverpool, all failing together. Thomas Tuchel will be hoping that he writes his name into the PSG’s history book. According to us, PSG may have to settle for a silver medal this season if Bayern meets them in the finals.
Bayern Munich – Bundesliga
Bayern has always been considering a lethal side. But Hans-Dieter Flick has turned that lethal side into a full army. Hans-Dieter Flick or “Hansi” hasn’t stepped a foot wrong since taking the command of German giants. The thumping 8-2 victory against Barcelona just summed up his amazing season. He has a star-studded team but the way he utilizes his troops is commendable.
Bayern has won Bundesliga this season, just like they did every time. Winning the Champions League will be the best way to conclude their season and an emphatic way to announce that they are the biggest team in the world currently. To end up, we think its Bayern Munich who will go all the way to get the glory!
